Privacy notice
SquadMem is not open yet. The only personal data we hold right now is the email address you give us to join the waitlist. This page explains what happens to it.

No cookies, no tracking, no analytics. This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or pixels. That is why you were not asked to accept anything.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Matteo Pennisi, the person behind SquadMem. You can reach us for anything in this notice — including deleting your data — at hello@squadmem.com.
What we collect
- The email address you type into the waitlist form.
- Technical data our form provider records with your submission: IP address, timestamp and browser user agent. We do not use these to profile you; they exist to process the submission and to filter spam.
That is the whole list. We do not ask for your name, your company, or anything else, and we do not buy or enrich your data from other sources.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We use your email address for one purpose: to tell you when SquadMem opens and to send you an invitation. Occasionally we may write about a significant milestone before launch.
The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Consent is not a trap: you can withdraw it at any time, and every email we send will carry an unsubscribe link.
Who else can see it
We keep the list small and boring on purpose. Two providers process your submission on our behalf:
- Netlify — hosts this site and stores the waitlist submissions.
- Akismet (Automattic) — Netlify passes each submission through it to decide whether it is spam.
Both are companies based in the United States, so your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area. Those transfers are covered by the safeguards their agreements provide, in particular the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and no one else receives it.
How long we keep it
Until SquadMem opens and you have had your invitation — and in any case no longer than 24 months from the day you signed up. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we do it, and we do not keep a copy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- hand it over in a portable format;
- stop using it, or withdraw your consent.
One email to hello@squadmem.com is enough for any of these — you do not have to explain why, and we will act within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection supervisory authority.
Changes to this notice
If SquadMem starts doing more than running a waitlist — accounts, a product, payments — this notice will be rewritten before that happens, not after. The date at the top always tells you which version you are reading.
